The New Castle Regional Ballet (NCRB), formerly the Parou Ballet Company, was founded in 1987 under the Artistic Director, Debbie Parou. The NCRB is a 501(C)3 non-profit pre-professional program established to expose New Castle and the surrounding area to the beautiful art form of ballet. The goal of NCRB is to teach children not only to learn discipline, focus, responsibility, respect, dedication, and grace, but most importantly to love this beautiful art form through proper technical ballet training. So many of the tools they learn here not only prepare them for the stage, but also for life. Through the endless hard work and dedication of our Board of Directors, we are able to provide the students with guest master teachers and choreographers, intense workshops both during the year and summer programs, and scholarships. Dancers of NCRB have gone on to graduate from Julliard School, SUNY Purchase College, have been accepted in the Duquesne Tamuritzans, danced in professional companies, and taught in college dance programs. Graduates of NCRB have also chosen successful careers in education, medicine, broadcasting, and many other professional fields.
exposes dancers to proper ballet instruction, and to recognized guest teachers and choreographers. At whatever level of instruction one decides upon, the program is always professional and promotes a disciplined environment that enhances the growth of the individual dancer within the world of ballet and beyond.
